UNCG SCHOOL OF ART
The Department of Art at UNCG is excited to bring you the Greensboro Project Space. We are dedicated to building a stronger community through enriching and transformative educational experiences - that can be shared by everyone.
We believe that art has the power to inspire creative living, spur critical debate, spotlight community, cultivate new friendships, bring joy, and celebrate public life.
The positive synergy of the GPS will contribute to an ongoing and exciting revitalization of the Downtown Greensboro and the South Elm Cultural District. Furthermore, the impact of the GPS on our city will identify the University of North Carolina at Greensboro as a leading institution in the Southeast for progressive education, public engagement and contemporary art.
Our students are individually challenged to explore and push the boundaries of their given field, whether it be establishing an independent vision or perspective in the studio, exploring new facets of art history or developing their own voices as art educators. Through this diversity, our program offers students a strong, self-motivated course of study where majors have meaningful contact with faculty across disciplines, methodologies and practices.
