Which animal do you identify as?
We humans are just one among many animal species, and in the performance we explore ways of mirroring ourselves in other species, in order to give agency to the living around us and generate new insights about ourselves. The work is created in collaboration with one audience member at the time.
Collaboration, media: Paolo Podrescu (DE), Collaboration, video: Tone Bjordam (NO)
About the Artist
Camilla Graff Junior is a Danish performance artist and curator. She holds an MA in Fine Arts and Dance from the Sorbonne Nouvelle University and the City College of New York and an MA in Performance Studies from the University of Copenhagen.
Her work is situated in the intersections between visual art, creative writing, narrative, feminist theory, archive and affect.
In her current research project she uses an auto-ethnographic approach as a method to look at performance as a tool to investigate social norms as they affect and reflect a women’s life. Camilla has over the past twenty-five years conceived solo and collaborative works performed and received in residency in Europe, Africa, South America and the United States.
The project is supported by: Danish Arts Foundation, Aage and Johanne Louis-Hansens Fond, Bikubenfonden, Det Obelske Familiefond and Nordic Culture Point - Mobility Programme
