Wardrobe Storytelling
More about the Artist
Florence Walton is a high school intern at the Greensboro Project Space. She has been volunteering at GPS since 2020 and began her internship in the Fall of 2022. Florence has a passion for thrifting and upcycling clothing, and was inspired to create the Wardrobe Storytelling project to learn more about the unknown journeys of thrifted clothing. Who's clothing are you wearing? Who will be taking your old clothing out of the thrift store? Florence's goal for the project is to help other understand the journey of clothing, upcycle clothing, and connect community. She hopes that participants will leave the exhibition with a piece of clothing that has meaning and impact through its story.
