January 13th, 8pm:
Performance of Consensus Reality and installation of work in progress from residency
Consensus Reality is a musical by Gabrielle Duggan and Neill Prewitt in which multiple personal mythologies and aesthetics coexist, channeled through the surfaces and depths of rock n roll. Created through both collaboration and isolation, it juxtaposes two individuals' searches for consensual experiences of Self and Other. It is an attempt to expose the invisible forces of reality, explore identity through performance, and seek a new community

After performing their multimedia opera Consensus Reality at GPS in June, Gabrielle Duggan and Neill Prewitt returned for a GPS Residency to begin production of their next opera, from December 11th 2016 to January 6th 2017. Building from music they wrote in the summer and fall, they developed the libretto, constructing sets in fiber, metal, and wood at the Forge, shooting video and choreographing performance. Their residency included a GPS lecture, and various studio visits throughout the month.
