On view September 17th - 29th
A post-it note, not an essay; cruising, coasting, refueling—this is how to consider our collection of thoughts, actions, processes, and materials.
Featuring works by both First and Second year MFA graduate students from the School of Art at University of North Carolina at Greensboro, this exhibition shares a collection of artwork and material explorations that at some point, have marked a signal of progress or step forward.
This moment marks the 38th week of an exceptionally difficult year and the 4th week of a unique school experience. For some, it is their first year, and for others, it is the beginning of their second, and final year as a graduate student. At times we are cruising—then coasting on fumes—now we’re here... and ready for refueling.
Some works on display are simply explorations of materials and processes, some works are complete or near completion. We invite the community to explore these objects, sculptures, paintings, collages, and textiles in whatever way they wish. Minds and eyes should wander. Revel in the joy and simplicity of play, process, production, and pause.
Participating artists include:
Anna Elliot
Ash Strazzinski
Grace Clark
Hediyeh Bondar
Hoan Rahlan
Neeraj Sebastian
Sarah LaPonte
