THE BICYCLE PAINTING
On Thursday at 6pm, Codey Gallas is going to be painting, with his bike. He has turned his bicycle into a painting machine and will be creating a painting live at GPS.
Codey Gallas is an MFA student at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He has moved here from Minnesota, where he grew up among rivers and thousands of lakes. Codey is not only inspired by the wilderness, but feels most at home when he surrounded by it. He is constantly hiking and fishing trying to find art in his own personal experiences of what nature is.

Ten Gallons
A performance action in which the artist collects ten gallons of water from a stream only to hike it up to the top of the mountain and release it back into the environment. This Sisyphusian action becomes a poetic drawing in time and questioning energy, sustainability, intervention, nature and experience.
