This past February I was caught in an act of domestic violence. Someone I had trusted with a lot of my life in such a short period of time became someone I sent to jail. Although I was not severely injured, my mental state is still being put back together each and everyday. I thought this short spoken word was very powerful and shows the strength that women have to fight back.

I am many things. An artist, a daughter, a sister, a friend, a girlfriend, a student, a patient. But above all, I am me. I work, I go to school, and save time for a social life just like any other student. I just want to make work that presents a little bit of me in every piece.
