I chose to non-cast a selection of horror short stories, from the internet sub-craze known as creepypastas. These stories are written by enthusiast authors from all over the world, the best are featured on dozens of websites, or are narrated by a whole host of youtube or soundcloud personalities. It is some of the most genuinely inventive work still being done in the horror genre, due in large part to the small investment required for its production.  This allows for limitless exploration of various themes and ideas,  dealing from mortality, god or sometimes just gruesome monsters,  whatever the case; creepypasta is our modern answer to telling a ghost story around a campfire,  an intriguing combination of theatre, creative writing and a human need for intense emotion.   Which is precisely the reason I chose the subject for this non-cast as it directly subverts the entire purpose of the effort put in by the original creators,  plus,  whats better to play in an empty building in the middle of the night than some scary stories. 

I am a Senior New Media and Design Major at the University of North Carolina- Greensboro, I am from High Point, North Carolina, and have lived in the area my entire life.  My chief artistic interests are conceptual art, three dimensional design / modelling,  miniature making,  and photography.  I enjoy making fantastical and impossible spaces into some sort of reality, and calling back on the imagination of my youth with the intent of hopefully inspiring the next generation of scientists, engineers, novelists, and of course artists with my work.
