More About A Legacy of Creativity
For over 125 years, UNC Greensboro has nurtured a vibrant arts community, fostering creativity and innovation in the visual and performing arts. Art, dance, music, and theatre have played important roles in both the instructional and extracurricular mission of the university, helping shape the arts in North Carolina and beyond.
Historic artifacts, photographs, oral history interviews, and other materials from the UNCG University Archives provide a foundation to explore the profound impact the arts have had on the university, its students, and the broader community. From the first classes offered to the diverse, innovative projects and performances seen today, this exhibit captures the legacy of creativity that continues to thrive at UNC Greensboro.
