During Festival weekend, from September 9 – 11, the new South End Stage at the Forge will be reverberating with a variety of music from funk and soul to an Americana groove. South End neighborhood merchants and developer Andy Zimmerman are working together with ArtsGreensboro to produce FREE performances at this alternative venue in the historic district along South Elm Street in downtown Greensboro. Festival-goers may walk or hop on a special Festival trolley to Lewis and South Elm, the crossroads of the South End, a neighborhood that is undergoing a remarkable renaissance.
Thanks to support from Downtown Greensboro Incorporated, two trolley routes will be running throughout Festival weekend. Both routes will originate at The Depot, at Washington and Church Streets. One route will run south to Lewis and Elm Streets, while the other will run north to take Festival audiences to the Wells Fargo Family Area and Wrangler Stage.
